2019 ListenUP Tour: 5 Cities, 28 Working Groups, 8 Issue Areas

This past fall we held our signature event, the Solution Sprint, in New York City, Austin, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington D.C. At each stop, we worked with a team of local hospitality leaders to create drafts of the Hospitality Industry Equity Goals. These goals will be a blueprint to address our industry’s most pressing issues, including those related to inequality, health resources, economic mobility, the talent pipeline and justice. Over the next few months we'll be working with our strategic partners (including you!) to refine and finalize these goals. Along the way we'll offer the insights, learnings, and best practices you shared along the tour.

Women in Hospitality United was founded on the belief that convening is a radical act and that lasting change must begin at the grassroots level. We've been inspired by the hundreds of conversations we've had since last year's tour, and have heard the same request over and over again - women need stronger local action networks that also enable them to engage in the national movement to revolutionize hospitality.
