Julia Coney is a Washington, D.C. and Houston-based wine and travel journalist, educator, and consultant. She has written for Wine Enthusiast and Tasting Table among other publications. Her wine writing includes pieces on the intersection of race and wine. She currently holds a WSET Level 2 Certification in Wine and Spirits and is currently pursuing her Master Level Champagne Certification with the Wine Scholar Guild. She is passionate about wine as a lifestyle, travel, interesting people, books and finding the elusive story of wine in her glass. As a lifelong Francophile, she participated as a wine judge at the all-female judging competition Féminalise in Paris in 2018.
